HAVE YOU HEARD?
TTB (Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau) Permits Online* is getting a makeover!
Some of the new features are:
- Entity Records and Commodity Operations Records – Once this change is made to Permits Online, if you need to file an amendment related to the business entity, you’ll only file one application instead of having to file one for each TTB permit, registration, or notice held by that company.
- Auto-Approval of Certain Amendments such as mailing address or trade name updates – Labeling trade name amendments should be approved in a timely manner and once Permits Online is updated these will be automatically approved once it passes certain system checks. Also included, mailing address changes will be automatically approved upon submission of your amendment.
- New “Delete” Function in the Attachments Section – Currently, if you accidentally upload the wrong document to your application you don’t have the ability to remove it. TTB is adding a delete function in the attachments area, which will allow you to be able to delete attachments prior to submitting your application package.
- Owner Officer Information application (OOI) will be called a Personnel Questionnaire or PQ for short. Any OOI applications that you previously submitted in Permits Online will still be labeled as OOIs and retain their original tracking number format. You will be able to associate them with new applications or amendments when you need to.
- Designation of owner/officer as a key contact – The new version of Permits Online will require that you designate at least one owner or officer of the business as a key contact within the “Signing Authority” section of each new and amended entity application. Each entity must have at least one, but may have multiple key contacts. The purpose of having a key contact is to ensure that there is a person at the TTB-regulated business who has access to all Permits Online applications and records for their company, rather than just the application contact, who may or may not have a long-term relationship with the permitted entity.
